Congratulations Hicksville Class of ’75 on your 50th reunion.
If I am counting back correctly on my fingers, you were in my class that one and only time I taught 8th grade. That’s the “soul-less year” of junior high, when you were no longer 7th grade babies and not yet 9th grade sophisticates, but 8th graders, who were neither fish nor fowl, and barely human, as I reminded you many times.
Well, I am happy to say you’ve come a long way in 50 years. I know because we’ve stayed in touch and I’ve been to lunch and dinner with some of you. And a few of you even picked up the check!
So once again, congratulations, Class of 1975, and thanks a lot (two words) for adding meaning to my life!
